Seven Cities of Love

“Seven Cities of Love” is a sculptural homage to Attar, the revered Persian poet and mystic. Made in 2005 for a competition honoring his legacy, this piece embodies the spiritual journey outlined in The Conference of the Birds, where seekers traverse seven symbolic valleys in pursuit of divine love and self-realization. Carved from wood, the sculpture reflects the organic flow of time and transformation, its undulating forms mirroring the depth, struggle, and beauty of the soul’s passage through the stages of love, loss, and enlightenment.
